Just a few words for your potential customers. When I was trying to sell my B55 Beech Baron it had been in various publications for about twelve months with not a great deal of response.

When you suggested a video presentation to be linked to the press advertisements I was keen to try it out.  The video and voiceover you made of my aircraft was of excellent quality and highlighted the best features of my aircraft.

As soon as it was available attached to the aviation press there was a surge of interest and enquiries which soon resulted in a successful sale.

I first encountered David Hales and the team at Optical Design when we both joined the same business networking group. At the time, David was launching Biz Adelaide and he ran a competition with a free video promotion as the prize. I submitted an entry on behalf of Southern Junction Community Services and much to my delight, I won.

When I met with David to discuss how claiming my prize would work, he generously brainstormed other promotional ideas for our not for profit, one of which was the notion of a Christmas Greeting video including our various corporate partners. This would be made available through YouTube and each organisation would promote the video to its own networks – great cross-marketing and an innovative idea! I was so impressed that I decided to contract David to undertake this project with me almost immediately.

The project involved several hours of filming in different locations, largely with groups of people who had never been on camera before. David was on time, organised, attentive (these people were our Corporate Partners and we wanted them to have a great experience) and professional at all times. He produced the final product quickly and used his experience and initiative to provide a great result. The feedback from everyone involved and who saw the video was very positive.

In January, David graciously allowed our CEO Graham Brown to have a slot on Biz Adelaide. This was a great opportunity for us to showcase who we are and what we do. Again, David was highly professional and supportive throughout. We’ve put a link to the interview on our website.

I am delighted to have had the chance to get to know David and his team and look forward to continuing to work with them as opportunities arise.

I cannot speak too highly of the diligence and enthusiasm which you have contributed to the activities of the Aldinga Aero Club, and especially the amount of time and effort you have put into establishing and maintaining our website. It is of such a format that information about the Club’s activities is easily obtained by those who are interested in seeing what we do, as well as limiting specific and more pertinent internal material only available to the members by the use of a password.

The reporting of our charity functions, and monthly meetings, often documented with very professional and interesting video clips, that are often linked to other national and international aviation activities, has made it a very worthwhile exercise to visit our website: attractive, easy to use and to access.

It was only today that I received an email from the father of a family in the UK who had visited our website, was planning a trip for the family to Australia and South Australia, and wished to spend a day with us, particularly his children, when they arrived.

Dogs Big Day Out

 

In May 2012, the Bowden Brompton Community Centre engaged the services of ODL Events Management to organise a large community event here in the Western region of Adelaide. The event known as the ‘Dogs Big Day Out’ was an event which worked in partnership with two other organisations.

The ‘Dogs Big Day Out’ was held at the Fitzroy Community Club on the 16 September. The event attracted such personalities as Simon Bryant and Racheal Leahcar.

ODL Events looked after everything, enabling the event to be a success on the day. We were impressed by ODL Events ability to work closely with all organisations in the lead up to the event. In addition, ODL Events were able to work within the tight budget allocated for the occasion.

Clearly their experience and knowledge ensured all Legislative requirements were met on the day. We acknowledge the difficulty and enormity such an event posed, especially working with 3 organisations at the same time. ODL Event Management made it look easy. Without their experience and ability to relate and communicate at all levels, we doubt the community event would have been successful?

I have no hesitation in recommending ODL Events for future initiatives, whether large or small in future. Thank you ODL Events Management for understanding our business and demonstrating an ability to deliver a prompt and efficient service.

Tour Down Under 2013

Snapper point TDU 2013 was a great success from a stallholders point of view. The event was well run and smoothly organised, everything we needed was in place. A lot of work seemed to have been done in getting the crowds to attend and we would have no hesitation about being part of another event run by the same crew. A very successful day.
